Progress Report for the Market Audit: Analysis of the Market Environment

Brief Progress update:
We researched the macro and micro environment for both the soft drinks market and how this will affect Innocent drinks. We have also been considering how the research we have done will contribute to the TOWS analysis leading on to the CSFs. By considering what our research will lead to we can already start to establish what we need to work on to produce the best Market Audit. This is what the Market Audit will be:
Who looked at Factors affecting the Macro and Micro environment?
Matt and James used the PESTLE analysis to compile the factors effecting the macro environment while Liam and Joe looked at Suppliers, Competitors, Marketing intermediaries, Social, Publics, Company and Customers to compile factors effecting the micro environment.

Reflection on discussions:
We were able to find quality research on most aspects of the macro and micro environment. In particular we found Broad Sheet newspapers and the Innocent website useful for our qualitative research, and the Market line, Britvic soft drinks report and the UK soft drinks report 2012 for up to date quantitative data. We struggled to find quality research on legal factors affecting the macro environment and company and public factors affecting the micro environment. After discussion we found the most effective research methods by sharing our own individual methods, hopefully making our research more reliable and helping each other to find more information on the points we were struggling on.

Individual Contributions:
Matt, James: Researched the Macro Environment .
Liam, Joe: Researched the Micro Environment.
Robby: Blog Research, set-up and analyzing quality of research.

List of action points and who is responsible for their completion:
Matt and James: Finished Macro environment.
Joe and Liam: Finished Micro environment.
Robby: To help research into the Legal, company and public factors to help produce more quality research. And to ensure all research could be linked to Innocent and be of a high quality.
